## Executive Summary

Symmetry's one lasting advantage is a single graph linking every identity, human or machine, to the data it reaches. It runs both its data-discovery and AI-governance products, a pairing often sold as two separate tools. But it is rebuilt inside each customer and accumulates no cross-customer data asset in the record, so its edge rests on execution rather than an owned asset. A vendor whose network already sits between employees and the systems they reach gets more from it than a standalone tool can, and in May 2026 Zscaler announced its intent to acquire the company for that capability. With no named customers, the acquisition is Symmetry's clearest outside endorsement. Zscaler expected to close within days. The record does not yet confirm it.
