## Executive Summary

Cato acquired Aim Security in September 2025 for an estimated 300 to 350 million dollars. The public record shows strong research and technical signals but limited standalone traction evidence, and it does not reveal how Cato apportioned the price. The runtime AI firewall and that research each take years of specialized expertise to build. Against that, the firewall is configurable screening software a larger vendor can ship, Aim holds no compliance certification of its own, and EchoLeak was published as a public CVE rather than kept as a private dataset. The one edge that is hard to take away is the difficulty of the problem itself. For a buyer, Aim is now one capability inside Cato's network platform.
