## Executive Summary

This analysis is scoped to 1Password Unified Access.

1Password's launch press and its product page describe the readiness of Unified Access, its new product for securing AI agent and machine credentials, differently. The March 2026 press release lists the audit record, the log of which credential each agent used and under whose authority, as coming soon, and schedules short-lived, scoped credentials for agents and machines for later in 2026. The product page already markets runtime credential delivery and unified audit logs as current features. A buyer accountable for agent access has to confirm which records are live today. What ships now is discovery and vaulting: Unified Access finds unsanctioned AI tools and exposed secrets on endpoints and pulls them into one vault for people, agents, and machines.
