## Executive Summary

CrowdStrike acquired Seraphic Security in February 2026 and sells its software to enterprises as Falcon Seraphic Enterprise Browser. The software protects employees' existing browsers, such as Chrome and Edge, from attacks and data leaks on managed and personal devices. Founded in 2020, Seraphic built an agent that randomizes the memory addresses of the browser's JavaScript engine, which runs web page code, to mitigate exploits. Its named customers are Clal Insurance, Nobia, P&S Transportation, Agoda, Publicis Groupe and Waste Management. Calcalist reported over 50 employees and around $37 million raised, including a $29 million Series A led by GreatPoint Ventures. Seraphic's core assets are that agent and a granted European patent for JavaScript exploit prevention.

## Market Readiness

How well the company can compete in its security market, scored across eight dimensions against public evidence.

**Established (30/40)**

Analyzed 2026-10-04. Scope: whole company.

| Dimension | Score | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Problem Clarity | 4/5 | Enterprise security teams are the buyer, and several non-vendor sources size the browser exposure they face. Dark Reading reported Omdia's estimate that about 85% of the workday is spent in the web browser. CSO Online describes copying internal data into AI prompts as a rapidly growing data leakage path. Futurum's survey put widespread browser-security deployment at 19.7% of respondents. \[[s18](#profile-analysis-sources), [s12](#profile-analysis-sources), [s14](#profile-analysis-sources), [s19](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |
| Capability Depth | 3/5 | Seraphic's product page documents an abstraction layer that intercepts and controls all browser operations in every session (s19), and SiliconANGLE attributes that architecture to the company (s13). That is concrete capability detail on vendor pages. The analyst notes in the record explain the acquisition or plot the market rather than test the shipped product, and the record carries no customer technical writeup, so no external validation point reaches rung 4 and the score is 3. \[[s19](#profile-analysis-sources), [s13](#profile-analysis-sources), [s14](#profile-analysis-sources), [s16](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |
| Market Timing | 4/5 | Buyer-side demand shows in two distinct signal kinds inside the last twelve months. Analyst category coverage includes GigaOm's secure enterprise browsing radar, dated November 2025, and Frost & Sullivan's 2025 zero-trust browser security radar, announced in December 2025. Buyer survey data appears in a January 2026 Futurum article, which reported survey results putting widespread browser-security deployment at 19.7% of respondents. The enabler is AI tool use inside the browser, which CSO Online described in January 2026 as a rapidly growing leakage path. \[[s16](#profile-analysis-sources), [s17](#profile-analysis-sources), [s14](#profile-analysis-sources), [s12](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |
| Team Credibility | 4/5 | Suresh Batchu co-founded MobileIron, where he built and led the engineering team before becoming CTO (s23), and Wikipedia independently records MobileIron's founding by Ajay Mishra and Batchu and its acquisition by Ivanti (s25). Seraphic is itself a completed security build, which CrowdStrike acquired in a deal that closed on February 3, 2026 (s8). Plural in-domain builds with an independently verified exit meet rung 4. The record shows no category-defining recognition, which keeps the score off 5. \[[s23](#profile-analysis-sources), [s25](#profile-analysis-sources), [s8](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |
| GTM Proof | 4/5 | Seraphic named multiple reference customers across its case-study, home and product pages, including P&S Transportation, Nobia, Clal Insurance, Agoda, Publicis Groupe and Waste Management, all in its own voice. Its CrowdStrike partnership is verifiable beyond those pages. Calcalist reports that the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund took part in its Series A, and CrowdStrike's filing records the Falcon Funds holding 9.4% of Seraphic before the acquisition. \[[s22](#profile-analysis-sources), [s20](#profile-analysis-sources), [s19](#profile-analysis-sources), [s10](#profile-analysis-sources), [s8](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |
| Funding Efficiency | 4/5 | Seraphic raised around $37 million, according to Calcalist, and CrowdStrike's filing records $327.5 million in cash plus $13.7 million of replacement equity awards for the 90.6% of the equity it did not already hold. That exit confirms output per dollar raised. No revenue, margin or profitability figure is disclosed, so the operating efficiency behind the outcome is unconfirmed. \[[s10](#profile-analysis-sources), [s8](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |
| Category Clarity | 4/5 | Buyers and analysts place the product in an established category without vendor coaching. GigaOm's secure enterprise browsing radar plots Seraphic Security among named vendors, and Dark Reading reported Gartner's adoption forecast for secure enterprise browsers as a category. Frost & Sullivan's leader recognitions for Seraphic in 2025 and CrowdStrike in 2026 reach readers through the companies' own releases, so they are vendor-announced rather than independently confirmed leadership. \[[s16](#profile-analysis-sources), [s18](#profile-analysis-sources), [s17](#profile-analysis-sources), [s7](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |
| Incumbent Defensibility | 3/5 | Futurum says existing browser integrations often rely on API limitations, while Seraphic's abstraction layer lets CrowdStrike inspect the session rendering engine itself (s14). The product also enforces access through the customer's identity provider (s3), and Seraphic Algorithms holds a granted European patent (s24). That is real friction to absorption. Futurum also says the move pressures standalone browser security vendors by turning their core offering into a platform feature (s14), and no source shows a structural moat that bundling could not eventually replicate, so the score is 3. \[[s14](#profile-analysis-sources), [s3](#profile-analysis-sources), [s24](#profile-analysis-sources)\] |

### Business Risks

- Microsoft could fold equivalent in-session controls into Edge, since GigaOm plots it as the most mature vendor in the secure enterprise browsing category.
- Google or Microsoft could restrict the third-party runtime access the in-engine agent depends on in Chrome or Edge, a possibility Futurum raised about browser ecosystems tightening.
- The JavaScript abstraction layer could add latency or break complex web applications as they grow, a scaling question Futurum raised about the approach.

### Problem & Market

Enterprise work increasingly happens inside the browser. Dark Reading reported Omdia's estimate that about 85% of the workday is spent in the web browser. Seraphic's product page argued that endpoint detection tools monitor the operating system rather than the browser, which leaves SaaS use and web-based data exfiltration unobserved.

Generative AI added a leakage path that runs through the browser. A CSO Online article on the acquisition states that copying internal data into AI prompts and uploading files for summarisation has become a rapidly growing data leakage path in organisations.

Buyers are early in addressing the problem. In June 2025 Dark Reading reported Gartner's estimate that under 10% of organizations had adopted a secure enterprise browser, against a projection of 25% by 2028. A January 2026 Futurum note put widespread browser-security deployment at 19.7% of surveyed respondents.

Analysts treat the problem as its own market. GigaOm's radar for secure enterprise browsing plots named vendors including Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Island and Seraphic Security, and Frost & Sullivan published a 2025 radar for the global zero-trust browser security market. \[[s18](#profile-analysis-sources), [s19](#profile-analysis-sources), [s12](#profile-analysis-sources), [s14](#profile-analysis-sources), [s16](#profile-analysis-sources), [s17](#profile-analysis-sources)\]

### Product Capabilities

Falcon Seraphic Enterprise Browser enforces security from inside the browser's JavaScript engine. Seraphic's product page described a browser agent that creates an abstraction layer between incoming code and that engine, and that intercepts and controls all browser operations in every session. Seraphic Algorithms holds a granted European patent on exploit prevention and malicious code neutralization for JavaScript-enabled applications, with CTO Avihay Cohen as inventor.

Exploit prevention works without signatures. CrowdStrike describes Moving Target Defense, which randomizes the browser's execution environment so zero-day and unpatched exploits fail, and SiliconANGLE describes Seraphic randomizing the memory addresses where a browser's JavaScript engine is kept.

Controls apply inside the session itself. CrowdStrike's pages describe allowing, restricting or blocking activity as risk changes and scoring every browser extension. They also describe blocking regulated data from being entered into AI tools and setting guardrails on agentic browsers that fill forms on a user's behalf.

CrowdStrike also sells the product for remote access. Its pages list deployment across Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox and Chromium-based browsers with no dedicated browser required. Its remote connectivity page describes connecting users to private web apps, RDP and SSH through a secure browser session in place of a VPN. \[[s19](#profile-analysis-sources), [s24](#profile-analysis-sources), [s2](#profile-analysis-sources), [s13](#profile-analysis-sources), [s1](#profile-analysis-sources), [s5](#profile-analysis-sources), [s4](#profile-analysis-sources)\]

### Competitive Positioning

Seraphic competed in a crowded category. GigaOm's radar plots Microsoft, Fortinet, Citrix, Palo Alto Networks, Menlo Security, Island, LayerX Security and Red Access among others alongside Seraphic Security. SecurityWeek names Surf, SlashNext, Menlo Security, LayerX and Red Access as other firms competing in enterprise browser security, and Calcalist names Island and Talon, which Palo Alto Networks acquired.

Seraphic's distinction is that it secures the browsers a workforce already uses. Futurum contrasted its JavaScript abstraction layer with competitors' preferred approach of proprietary enterprise browsers, and CrowdStrike positions the product against forcing users into a separate enterprise browser or routing traffic through high-latency infrastructure.

CrowdStrike now owns the capability. It completed the acquisition on February 3, 2026, and Futurum wrote that the move pressures standalone browser security vendors by commoditizing their core offering into a platform feature. \[[s16](#profile-analysis-sources), [s9](#profile-analysis-sources), [s10](#profile-analysis-sources), [s14](#profile-analysis-sources), [s1](#profile-analysis-sources), [s8](#profile-analysis-sources)\]

### Go-to-Market & Traction

Seraphic named its customers on its own site. Its case studies covered P&S Transportation, Nobia and Clal Insurance. Its homepage, under a heading reading "Trusted by industry leaders", quoted security leaders from Agoda, Publicis Groupe and Clal Insurance on using the product. Its product page quoted the CISO of Waste Management on adopting a bring-your-own-browser approach.

Seraphic paired those references with analyst placement and a CrowdStrike partnership. It announced a leader placement in Frost & Sullivan's 2025 zero-trust browser security radar, in a release stating that Frost & Sullivan cites strong enterprise adoption and consistent year-over-year revenue growth. Calcalist reports that the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund took part in Seraphic's Series A, and CrowdStrike's filing records the Falcon Funds holding 9.4% of Seraphic before the acquisition.

Neither company discloses the product's revenue or customer count in the cited sources. CrowdStrike's filing states that the acquisition did not have a material impact on its condensed consolidated financial statements and that historical and pro forma disclosures were therefore not presented. \[[s22](#profile-analysis-sources), [s20](#profile-analysis-sources), [s19](#profile-analysis-sources), [s17](#profile-analysis-sources), [s10](#profile-analysis-sources), [s8](#profile-analysis-sources)\]

### Team & Credibility

Ilan Yeshua and Avihay Cohen founded Seraphic in 2020, according to Calcalist, which identifies Yeshua as a former longtime CEO of the news website Walla. Cohen led the company as CTO and is the named inventor on its granted European patent for JavaScript exploit prevention.

Suresh Batchu joined in September 2023 as co-founder and COO. Wikipedia records him as a 2007 co-founder of MobileIron, an early pioneer in mobile security and management that Ivanti later acquired. Seraphic's announcement states that he built and led MobileIron's engineering team before becoming its CTO.

Seraphic also listed an advisory board including Joe Sullivan, former CSO of Cloudflare, Facebook and Uber, and Udi Yavo, former CTO of Fortinet. CrowdStrike's filing attributes the acquisition goodwill primarily to Seraphic's assembled workforce, planned growth in new markets and expected integration synergies. \[[s10](#profile-analysis-sources), [s21](#profile-analysis-sources), [s24](#profile-analysis-sources), [s23](#profile-analysis-sources), [s25](#profile-analysis-sources), [s8](#profile-analysis-sources)\]

### Trust Readiness

Frost & Sullivan named CrowdStrike its 2026 Global Enabling Technology Leader in Zero Trust Browser Security for Falcon Secure Access, which CrowdStrike described as powered by technology from its Seraphic acquisition. GigaOm evaluated Seraphic Security in its secure enterprise browsing radar.

CrowdStrike completed the acquisition in February 2026 and now sells the product itself, so a buyer weighs CrowdStrike as the vendor standing behind it. \[[s7](#profile-analysis-sources), [s17](#profile-analysis-sources), [s16](#profile-analysis-sources), [s8](#profile-analysis-sources)\]

### Competitors

| Company | Relationship | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Island | competes with | Competes for the same enterprise browser-security budget, and GigaOm plots both in its secure enterprise browsing radar. |
| Palo Alto Networks | competes with | Calcalist reports it acquired Talon, a Seraphic rival, and GigaOm plots it in the same category. |
| Microsoft | competes with | GigaOm plots it as the most mature entry in the same category. |
| Red Access | competes with | SecurityWeek names it among the firms competing in enterprise browser security. |
| LayerX Security | competes with | SecurityWeek names LayerX among the firms competing in enterprise browser security. |
| Menlo Security | competes with | SecurityWeek names it among the firms competing in enterprise browser security, and GigaOm plots it in the same radar. |

## Strategy Deep Dive

A closer look at the company's product strategy, measuring how [defensible](https://zeltser.com/scoring-security-product-strategy) it is against market forces and examining the [eight areas](https://zeltser.com/security-product-creation-framework) behind it.

### Defensibility

**Defensible (15/21)**

Band guidance: press the advantage. Analyzed 2026-10-04. Scope: whole company.

Seraphic's core assets are its in-engine technique and its granted JavaScript exploit-prevention patent. CrowdStrike now owns both. Its agent operates between web code and the browser's JavaScript engine, enforcing policy on activity in every session and randomizing that environment to disrupt exploits. A granted European patent on exploit prevention for JavaScript-enabled applications names CTO Avihay Cohen as inventor, and CrowdStrike's filing records $69.8 million of developed technology. Named customers include Clal Insurance, an insurer, alongside Agoda and Waste Management. CrowdStrike sells it on the Falcon platform in a category GigaOm also maps to Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks and Island.

| Dimension | Score | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Value Delivery | 1/3 | CrowdStrike sells Falcon Seraphic Enterprise Browser as software the customer's security team deploys across browsers and devices and then operates, so the customer owns the outcome. The cited pages describe deployment, session policies and alerts sent to the customer's SIEM rather than an operated service. \[[s1](#deep-dive-sources), [s2](#deep-dive-sources)\] |
| Switching Cost | 2/3 | Leaving means re-creating the session policies, extension controls and private-app access rules a customer configured, and re-pointing the alerts it sends to Falcon Next-Gen SIEM or other tools, which is integration and learned-workflow friction. The switching mechanism is documented, and the cited record does not size the migration. \[[s1](#deep-dive-sources), [s2](#deep-dive-sources), [s4](#deep-dive-sources)\] |
| Compliance Moat | 1/3 | The cited sources describe browser security software sold to enterprises and attach no product-specific authorization, regulator-mediated validation or retained liability to it. A funded competitor could therefore meet buyer requirements through ordinary enterprise-market preparation. \[[s1](#deep-dive-sources), [s8](#deep-dive-sources)\] |
| Problem Complexity | 3/3 | The product runs an abstraction layer between incoming code and the browser's JavaScript engine and randomizes that execution environment to disrupt exploits, which is real-time systems work. Futurum assessed the layer as reaching the encrypted session rendering engine itself. \[[s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s2](#deep-dive-sources), [s24](#deep-dive-sources), [s14](#deep-dive-sources)\] |
| Buyer Profile | 3/3 | The product's named customers include Clal Insurance, which has a Seraphic case study and whose CTO is quoted on Seraphic's site, alongside Agoda, Publicis Groupe and Waste Management. An insurer belongs to the regulated-enterprise class, and the case study ties that customer to this product rather than to a parent roster. \[[s22](#deep-dive-sources), [s20](#deep-dive-sources), [s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s1](#deep-dive-sources)\] |
| Layer | 3/3 | Falcon Seraphic Enterprise Browser sits in the execution path of the browser sessions it protects. Seraphic's agent intercepts and controls all browser operations in every session, and CrowdStrike states it inspects and controls JavaScript execution before payloads run and can allow, restrict or block session activity as risk changes. Its remote connectivity component connects users to private web apps, RDP and SSH through that protected session and can revoke sessions when risk changes. \[[s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s2](#deep-dive-sources), [s1](#deep-dive-sources), [s4](#deep-dive-sources)\] |
| Proprietary Data, Content, or IP | 2/3 | Seraphic Algorithms holds a granted European patent, EP4204972B1, for exploit prevention and malicious code neutralization in JavaScript-enabled applications, with Avihay Cohen as inventor and a 2020 priority date. That is evidenced IP of the patent kind, and CrowdStrike's filing separately records $69.8 million of acquired developed technology. No retained dataset or cross-customer telemetry asset appears in the cited record. \[[s24](#deep-dive-sources), [s8](#deep-dive-sources)\] |

### Strategic Market Segmentation

The product is sold to enterprises whose employees, contractors and partners reach corporate apps and data through a browser. CrowdStrike positions it for managed and unmanaged devices alike, and Dark Reading reported Omdia's estimate that about 85% of the workday is spent in the web browser.

The segment is defined by devices as much as by companies. Seraphic delivered its agent through lightweight extensions, embedded in the user's preferred browser, and through a mobile browser on iOS and Android. CrowdStrike now describes onboarding contractors without managed hardware, VDI licenses or endpoint software on personal devices.

Adoption is early. In June 2025 Dark Reading reported Gartner's estimate that under 10% of organizations had adopted a secure enterprise browser, against 25% projected by 2028. In a January 2026 article, Futurum reported survey data putting widespread browser-security deployment at 19.7% of respondents. \[[s1](#deep-dive-sources), [s3](#deep-dive-sources), [s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s18](#deep-dive-sources), [s14](#deep-dive-sources), [s11](#deep-dive-sources)\]

### Product Capabilities & AI Advantages

The product works from inside the browser's JavaScript engine. Seraphic described a browser agent that creates an abstraction layer between incoming code and that engine, and its prevention engine makes the engine's environment unpredictable to exploits while valid code runs normally. Seraphic Algorithms also holds a granted European patent on exploit prevention for JavaScript-enabled applications, with Avihay Cohen as inventor.

Outside descriptions match the vendor's. SiliconANGLE describes Seraphic randomizing the memory addresses where a browser's JavaScript engine is kept, and Futurum assessed the layer as letting CrowdStrike inspect the encrypted session rendering engine itself. CrowdStrike relays Frost & Sullivan's description of a JavaScript runtime security module injected at the engine level.

CrowdStrike applies the same in-session position to AI tools. It describes identifying sanctioned and shadow AI apps in every browser session and blocking regulated data and credentials from being entered into AI tools. It also describes guardrails on agentic browsers that act on a user's behalf. SiliconANGLE reports that the software also secures desktop applications built on the Electron framework. \[[s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s24](#deep-dive-sources), [s2](#deep-dive-sources), [s13](#deep-dive-sources), [s14](#deep-dive-sources), [s5](#deep-dive-sources), [s7](#deep-dive-sources)\]

### Sales Engagement & Go-to-Market

Seraphic's go-to-market evidence is named references and analyst placement. Its case studies covered P&S Transportation, Nobia and Clal Insurance. Its homepage quoted security leaders from Agoda, Publicis Groupe and Clal Insurance under a "Trusted by industry leaders" heading, and its product page quoted the CISO of Waste Management.

Seraphic announced a leader placement in Frost & Sullivan's 2025 zero-trust browser security radar, in a release stating that Frost & Sullivan cites strong enterprise adoption and consistent year-over-year revenue growth. Those adoption and growth claims reach readers through Seraphic's own release.

CrowdStrike now sells the product as Falcon Seraphic Enterprise Browser. Its Falcon Funds held 9.4% of Seraphic before it bought the rest, and Futurum reports that it presented the product at Fal.Con 2026 alongside its identity security work. \[[s22](#deep-dive-sources), [s20](#deep-dive-sources), [s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s17](#deep-dive-sources), [s8](#deep-dive-sources), [s15](#deep-dive-sources), [s1](#deep-dive-sources)\]

### Pricing Model

Seraphic's archived product page and CrowdStrike's product pages for Falcon Seraphic Enterprise Browser state no price for the product.

The figures on record describe the acquisition. CrowdStrike's filing records consideration of $327.5 million in cash, net of $1.1 million of cash and restricted cash acquired, for the 90.6% of Seraphic it did not already hold. The consideration also included $13.7 million of replacement equity awards. It also remeasured its earlier 9.4% stake at $38.1 million. Calcalist reported that Seraphic had raised around $37 million. \[[s1](#deep-dive-sources), [s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s8](#deep-dive-sources), [s10](#deep-dive-sources)\]

### Product Delivery & Operations

Delivery avoids a replacement browser. CrowdStrike states the product requires no infrastructure changes, dedicated browsers or user training, and Seraphic described deploying its agent through lightweight extensions with no end-user action or separate endpoint agent.

Unmanaged devices are part of the design. CrowdStrike describes using a customer's existing identity provider to allow access only through a protected browser session, and separating corporate and personal browsing at the session level on personal devices.

Operations connect to the security team's existing stack. CrowdStrike describes sending enriched alerts to Falcon Next-Gen SIEM or other tools, and connecting users to private web apps, RDP and SSH through the browser session in place of a VPN. \[[s1](#deep-dive-sources), [s19](#deep-dive-sources), [s3](#deep-dive-sources), [s2](#deep-dive-sources), [s4](#deep-dive-sources)\]

### Earning Customers' Trust

The assurances on record are analyst evaluations. Frost & Sullivan named CrowdStrike its 2026 Global Enabling Technology Leader in Zero Trust Browser Security for Falcon Secure Access, which CrowdStrike described as powered by technology from its Seraphic acquisition. Seraphic announced a leader placement in Frost & Sullivan's 2025 radar, and GigaOm evaluated Seraphic Security in its secure enterprise browsing radar.

CrowdStrike completed the acquisition in February 2026 and now sells the product itself, so an enterprise evaluating it weighs CrowdStrike as the vendor behind it. \[[s7](#deep-dive-sources), [s17](#deep-dive-sources), [s16](#deep-dive-sources), [s8](#deep-dive-sources)\]

### Platform Strategy & Ecosystem Positioning

Seraphic built toward CrowdStrike's platform before joining it. Seraphic announced an expanded integration bringing browser-layer security into Falcon Fusion SOAR and Falcon Shield, and the CrowdStrike Falcon Funds held 9.4% of the company before the acquisition.

CrowdStrike places the product inside its identity strategy. It said it would fuse Seraphic's in-session browser protection with SGNL's continuous identity technology. Futurum reports that CrowdStrike drew on both acquisitions to put identity at the center of agent security at Fal.Con 2026. Alerts from the product feed Falcon Next-Gen SIEM or other tools. \[[s17](#deep-dive-sources), [s8](#deep-dive-sources), [s6](#deep-dive-sources), [s15](#deep-dive-sources), [s2](#deep-dive-sources)\]

### Team & Execution Capability

Ilan Yeshua and Avihay Cohen founded Seraphic in 2020, according to Calcalist, which identifies Yeshua as a former longtime CEO of the news website Walla and reports that the company employs over 50 people. Cohen led the company as CTO and is the named inventor on its granted European patent.

Suresh Batchu joined in September 2023 as co-founder and COO. Wikipedia records him as a 2007 co-founder of MobileIron, an early pioneer in mobile security and management. Seraphic's announcement states that he built and led MobileIron's engineering team before becoming its CTO.

Seraphic listed an advisory board including Joe Sullivan, former CSO of Cloudflare, Facebook and Uber, and Udi Yavo, former CTO of Fortinet. CrowdStrike's filing attributes the acquisition goodwill primarily to Seraphic's assembled workforce, planned growth in new markets and expected integration synergies. \[[s10](#deep-dive-sources), [s21](#deep-dive-sources), [s24](#deep-dive-sources), [s23](#deep-dive-sources), [s25](#deep-dive-sources), [s8](#deep-dive-sources)\]
