The partner motion carries the deployments at national scale. IBM put the software inside the gematik-certified electronic health record backend, the Schwarz Group's STACKIT cloud turned it into two services it sells under its own name, and Capgemini uses Privatemode AI for confidential coding assistants and published its own account of the partnership.

Privatemode AI is the product with published prices. Privatemode AI lists a free tier of 5 million chat tokens with no credit card, pay-as-you-go from EUR 1.27 per million output tokens, and an enterprise plan quoted on request that lists custom SLAs, custom AI models, enterprise single sign-on, integration support and phone support.

The infrastructure products carry no published price, and their licences differ. Contrast and MarbleRun are both available under the Business Source License, free for non-production use and requiring a commercial licence in production. Privatemode AI moves the hosting without moving the access boundary. Edgeless Systems offers it as a managed service or for deployment into the customer's own AI infrastructure, and states that it is architected so the company itself cannot access user data. One product change has already landed on customers. An advisory firm's review recommends it for doctors, lawyers and tax advisors handling material covered by German professional-secrecy law.

One certificate came from a third party rather than from a self-assessment. gematik certified the complete electronic health record solution that includes the software, which is a sector-specific gate rather than a general-purpose one, and it covers the solution rather than Edgeless Systems alone.

Edgeless Systems also offers verification without paperwork. Edgeless Systems builds on other people's platforms at every layer. The confidential-computing features come from Intel SGX and TDX, AMD SEV-SNP and NVIDIA hardware. Contrast builds on the Kata Containers and Confidential Containers projects. MarbleRun accepts enclaves built with Gramine, EGo or Occlum, and EGo builds on Open Enclave.

That dependence is also the company's distribution. The domain background is specific but vendor-stated. The about page says Schuster researched confidential computing at Microsoft Research from 2015 and that Tendyck came from a research and development role at a Bochum security firm, and SiliconANGLE and SecurityWeek confirm only that Schuster is the chief executive.

The register adds what the marketing does not.
